**Let's talk about the roles and responsibilities**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Architect and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and workflows leveraging Azure Synapse, ADF, and Azure Functions.**:
- **Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices in data integration, transformation, and quality.**:
- **Leverage your past hands-on experience from at least two successful end-to-end data engineering implementation projects to inform and guide current practices.**:
- **Utilize Databricks and/or Snowflake to build modern data lakehouse, data processing capabilities and Insight generation.**:
- **Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to align data engineering solutions with strategic objectives.**
**Required Qualifications**:
- **Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Synapse, ADF, Functions) and preferably least one of Databricks or Snowflake.**:
- **Proven track record with past involvement in at least two full-scale implementation projects in a Data Engineering Lead capacity.**:
- **Strong technical skills in building and optimizing data pipelines, coupled with an understanding of modern data warehousing, data lakehouse and analytics architectures.**:
- **Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.**:
- **Must be an Australian citizen; possession of security clearance is highly desirable.**
