Public Sector People are currently recruiting for an Administration Officer to join Logan City Council. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join this busy department who will be responsible for managing a range of administrative tasks, with a focus Receipting Officer.
**Duties will include**:
- Provide high levels of administration support to the team and all senior managers.
- Coordinate and manage the purchasing process, from placing orders to receiving goods
- Responsible for the receipting of goods and services delivered to RCM in Council's financial system.
- Responsible for matching delivery dockets with invoices, seek approval from appropriate officers and validate blanket order
invoices against RCM contract pricing.
- Monitor Open Purchase orders and follow up with relevant stakeholder.
- Your performance against these responsibilities will be assessed by obtaining feedback from stakeholders regarding the standard
of your work and your ability to proactively resolve matters in a prompt manner.
**Skills required**:
- Demonstrated experience in a financial environment as well as competency and practical knowledge in the 'procure to pay'
process.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a member of a team, and communicate and respond effectively to a wide range
of stakeholders, whilst building and maintaining good relationships.
Ability to communicate financial concepts in plain language to non-financial stakeholders.
- Computer literacy skills, at an intermediate level with practical skills in Word, Excel and financial systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to
changing circumstances.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commitment to service excellence and creating positive experiences and value for internal and external customers of the Branch.
- All interactions and responses with customers are prompt, professional and efficient.
- Provide accurate and timely information and advice to customers.
