Lead Cardiovascular Research Network in Victoria
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised professional to lead the day-to-day operations of the Victorian Cardiovascular Research Network. This pivotal role will support the growth of the network in Victoria, working closely with stakeholders across research, health, and government sectors.
The successful candidate will provide secretariat support to the CVRN Executive Committee, including minute-taking, managing action items, and reporting. They will also lead the coordination of high-profile CVRN events and capacity-building workshops for researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the CVRN Executive Committee, including minutes, action items, and reporting.
Coordinate high-profile CVRN events and capacity-building workshops for researchers.
Support communications to promote cardiovascular research in Victoria.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across research, health, and government sectors.
Identify collaboration and funding opportunities that benefit the network's stakeholders.
Represent the Network at external meetings and forums to further our mission.
Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the health and medical research environment in Victoria and Australia.
Experience in planning and delivering research, capacity building, and/or networking events.
The ability to manage projects, have strong organisational and administrative skills, and work proactively and autonomously.
Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proven collaboration and high-level negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences ranging from government, researchers, executives, donors, and general community.
