**About the Role**
We leverage our extensive experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, public reporting, control processes, tax and compliance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, efficient capital allocation and sound financial planning.
**What You'll Do**
The Billings & Accounts Receivable Specialist (internal title will be Billing Specialist) is responsible for client invoicing and supporting FTI's Australian Finance Team with management and collection of accounts receivable. The role reports to the Manager, Transaction Services.
Working closely with Engagement Delivery Leads and Matter/Project Managers, the Billings & Accounts Receivable Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
- Preparation of client invoices, including pro forma, draft and final invoices
- Processing WIP write offs and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place for the write-offs
- Reviewing engagement opening documentation, including letters of engagement, against customer management system and accounting system
- Ensuring appropriate billing process is followed for different types of engagements, e.g. engagements with success-based fee arrangements
- Monitoring of work-in-progress on engagements, ensuring that they are billed within the set timeline
- Follow up with clients for outstanding invoices, ensuring that payment is received within payments terms
- Liaising with Engagement Delivery Leads and Matter/Project Managers to resolve client queries on invoices
- Organising Letter of Demand for long overdue accounts
- Weekly reporting of Work-in-Progress and Accounts Receivable status
- Assisting with streamlining the billing and collection process
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities
**Key Requirements**
- Billings and collections experience of 3 years
- Professional services industry experience preferred
- Working Knowledge of large ERP system
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Commitment, self-motivation and deadline-driven
- Keen to work in a fast-paced environment and Multinational organisation
- Ability to interact and engage with key stakeholders
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
