Inpatient Billing Specialist
Job Description:Mater Misericordiae seeks a detail-oriented professional to join their team as an Inpatient Billing Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes that support high-quality patient care, all within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and complete billing documentation to record all relevant charges.
- Enter CMBS item numbers, prosthesis items, and reconcile billing data.
- Liaise with practice managers, billing, and supply staff to ensure accuracy.
- Run reports, perform reconciliations, and support strong working relationships across teams.
- Extensive knowledge of CMBS numbers and prosthesis items is essential.
- Experience in health fund billing and/or debtor management is highly valued.
- Data entry, administrative, and billing/accounting skills are crucial for success.
- The ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail is vital.
- Excellent customer service skills, including handling sensitive financial conversations, are necessary.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team is required.
