The Australian Distilling Company, a leading-edge distilling business with strong links to the wine industry, is seeking an experienced, passionate and results focused National Sales Manager to oversee the company's national sales team.
The Australian Distilling Company has grown out of a love for our beautiful cities from a family steeped in significant associations with the liquor and wine industry and ultimately from a passion for crafting premium spirits.
We have a strong focus on recruiting and retaining the very best people in our quest to provide fantastic products and service to our customers and are seeking a like-minded individual who has a common-sense approach to management, to join our highly regarded team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced National Sales Manager to join our highly regarded leadership team in a fast paced and stimulating environment. This important senior role would suit a high calibre individual with excellent people skills and a pragmatic "can-do" approach.
**Key responsibilities of this challenging and rewarding role include**:
- Proactively leading, motivating and managing the sales team to ensure KPI's, targets and other business requirements are being met.
- Developing and implementing strategies to source new business, to meet and exceed sales targets and to build existing accounts.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of our product range and its positioning in the market.
- Exceeding business objectives through effective planning, goal setting and building strategic relationships.
- Analysing and monitoring sales data to develop strategies for improving future performance.
- Staying abreast of industry news and market conditions.
- Leading by example with a focus on continuous improvement and a positive 'can-do' attitude.
**Along with being reliable, loyal, and trustworthy it is essential that you have the following attributes**:
- At least five years' experience in a sales management role, leading teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Be results focussed with a track record of success in both sales and management.
- A proven ability to achieve objectives and demonstrate actual results.
- A passion for driving organisational performance.
- Clear and concise written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally, pragmatically and with influence.
- Ability to effectively support the development of others through coaching, mentoring and guidance.
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude.
- A communicative and collaborative approach to working with stakeholders both externally and internally.
- Strong business acumen.
- Highly developed presentation with excellent communication skills.
The successful applicant will have a track record of at least five years of successful sales managerial experience in a commercial environment. Applicants are required to be highly professional, confident and have the strength of character to generate respect from teams as well as having a natural aptitude for leading people.
