Where the Financial Services team fits in
The Financial Services team's goal is to write 1 in 10 home loans in Australia. We will deliver this through a multi-channel home loan marketplace, supported by the #1 retail broker offering that provides full market coverage, leading rates and great service.
The financial services team is accountable for strategy development and execution, working with our partners to build our capability and product offerings, leading sales management and engaging across the other lines of business in REA.
What you'll be doing
The GM, Distribution supports the Financial Services area by designing and enabling productivity capability within the Mortgage Choice business including setting the direction, leadership and coaching to the Franchise Recruitment and State management teams to ensure they are positioned, both in function and structure, to deliver on Network Growth and Sales expectations and goals.
This includes:
- Plan, develop, execute and drive the Broker Brand's strategic and tactical Franchise Recruitment (Network Growth) strategies, including the creation of business plans and setting of explicit KPIs and objectives at both team and individual level- In line with Broker Brand's approved strategic plan, develop, execute and drive the Broker Brand's strategic and tactical sales and distribution strategies, including the creation of business plans and setting of explicit KPIs and objectives at both team and individual level- Ensure operational processes, resources and tools including Lead and sales tracking and reporting are in place to support Network Growth and Sales expectations and goals- Ensure the ongoing development, competencies and capabilities of Franchisees, Loan Writers and Franchise Recruitment and State Office teams to meet Network Growth, Sales, Service and Performance standards - supported by appropriate resources, sales training programs, productivity and quality improvement initiatives, personal development days, state and national conferences- Participate in appropriate business and professional associations, networks and activities promoting the Broker Brand as a leading Financial Services provider
Franchisee Productivity and Segmentation- Review and advise on franchisee business reviews and productivity plans- Develop and refine Franchisee segmentation model and necessary reporting to support- Determine optimal portfolio model for State Teams and establish segment-based performance reporting and targets- Work with State Teams to deliver effective business coaching to Franchisees
Leadership- Act as a key member of the Financial Services Leadership Team, supporting peers both internally and externally- Provide leadership and support to team to ensure they can execute the process effectively and develop them and their career- Champion the development of the Mortgage Choice BVP with REA leadership team and stakeholders
Who we're looking for- Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline preferred- Ability to interpret and analyse relevant data to diagnose issues, trends and emerging problems and initiating actions prior to the execution of tasks- Competent in all elements of business and financial metrics especially as it pertains to the Financial Services markets and the mortgage sector specifically- Demonstrated Business acumen encompassing overall Strategic Insight, Business Operations Management and all aspects of interpersonal communication at a significantly high-level showing influencing & relationship building at all levels- Proven track record in achieving sales results and relationship management- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with people at different levels and with contrasting levels of technical knowledge and skills- Understanding of local area marketing- Strong understanding of Mortgage Choice system- Exceptional influencing skills, foresight to leverage opportunities, nimble and flexible to make changes in order to minimise barriers and address unique needs and preferences of the business- Confident, articulate and ability to work with a sense of urgency, energy and personal drive- Anti
