**About The Role**

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join our next generation utility billing software division and playing a central role in steering the product development process. This includes meticulous management of the dynamic product backlog, where features and enhancements are prioritized to align with customer needs and strategic objectives. Serving as a vital link between stakeholders and the development team, the Product Owner not only effectively communicates the product vision and goals but also fosters a shared understanding among all team members, ensuring that each member comprehensively grasps the intricacies of the product requirements.

**About You**

Proven experience in a similar role working in utilities (gas and electricity) industry. Experience working within an enterprise software or product development environment will be ideal. Strong skills in creating comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria crucial for effective sprint planning and execution. Practical experience in defining minimum viable products, ensuring efficient product development cycles with a focus on delivering essential features. You will also have:

- solution-oriented approach fostering innovative and strategic thinking within the development framework. exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of developing and managing relationships with team members and customers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as the authoritative voice of the client, ensuring their perspectives and needs to guide product development.
- Influence and execute the product roadmap, aligning it with strategic goals through collaboration with the product manager, customers, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a concise product backlog, prioritizing change initiatives to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers during visioning, concept development, and problem-solving, making informed decisions to meet business commitments.
- Gather business requirements and stories, fostering open communication with customers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the creation of statements of requirements, statements of work, and facilitate the effort estimation process as well as support and contribute to user documentation. Undertake sprint planning and reviews in collaboration with the scrum master and development team, acting as a bridge between the product roadmap and development processes.
