**Job Description**:
**What you will be doing**
- As Conference & Events Operations manager, you will run a range of meetings and events across our venue. You will have an eye for detail, take pride in your high standards, and be highly organised to deliver a high-quality experience for our clients
- Lead, coach and empower our Supervisors and Attendants to consistently deliver first-rate service
- Maintain consistent contact with clients so that all needs and requests are met prior to and during functions
- Supervise room set ups to ensure client needs are met according to the event order
- Keep up to date with industry trends, provide creative suggestions and innovative ideas to enhance the success of events
- Manage budgets and deliver on profit margins by controlling costs and payroll
- Ensure communication between Sales, Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams is seamless for the smooth implementation of events
- Set up and maintain systems to ensure accurate stock control and ordering

- A natural leader, inspiring the Conference & Events team to provide our patrons with a genuinely first class experience. Your lead by example approach will be infectious
- A strong background in conference and events operations, preferably within the luxury market. You will be experienced in running mid to large scale events with skill and precision
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Be a calming influence in the midst of a high pressured, fast paced environment, with the ability to sustain and drive positive team morale creating a culture that people want to be part of.
- Foster positive relationships with other key managers, department heads and stakeholders to meet business needs.
- Be a progressive, creative professional who remains pragmatic and focused in an ever changing and challenging environment.
- Have a flexible approach to adapting to guest requests
- Detail focused with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality service
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekend
