The lyf Elizabeth Melbourne, managed by The Ascott Limited, now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as Conference and Events Manager.
This full-time role will report to the lyf Champion and work closely with other departments.
lyf Elizabeth Melbourne is set to open its doors in late November 2025.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Coordinating and managing all aspects of conferences and events, from initial planning through to execution and post-event review.
Overseeing the setup, operation, and breakdown of event spaces to ensure compliance with client requirements and organisational standards.
Liaising with internal teams (operations, catering, sales, and housekeeping) to guarantee seamless service delivery across all event stages.
Providing on-site leadership during events, troubleshooting issues promptly, and ensuring client and guest satisfaction.
Maintaining accurate administrative records, including event bookings, contracts, invoicing, and post-event reports.
To be successful in this role you must have:
Proven experience in conference and event management, with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Solid knowledge of event operations, including food and beverage coordination, venue setup, and AV requirements.
Proficiency in administrative tasks and event management systems, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
