**Description**

We are looking to engage an experienced Compliance leader, to manage the delivery of an effective second line of defence (2LOD) compliance function.

This function will provide strong and effective support within Insurance to assist in meeting all legal and regulatory obligations to achieve our strategic goals in line with agreed risk appetite.

Our new Manager Insurance Compliance will develop and maintain positive, collaborative, and effective professional relationships with key stakeholders across the Insurance, Group Risk & Compliance Division and the wider RACQ Group to ensure best practise is achieved.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Coach and mentor team members to ensure credible, timely and respected services are delivered within a high performing and collaborative environment.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and reporting is embedded for compliance obligations.
- Provide guidance and advice to the Line 1 Risk & Compliance community to design controls, monitor their effectiveness and operational performance and accurately and transparently escalate matters of concern.
- Lead the delivery of a risk-based annual assurance program for compliance and regulatory obligations which supports effective management of key compliance risks in line with compliance requirements and aligns with the board risk appetite.
- Development of insights on compliance trends and subsequent reporting for senior management and Board.

About you:

- Extensive compliance and risk or legal experience within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated experience in Insurance and/or financial services.
- Detailed knowledge of current and emerging legal and regulatory compliance and experience in implementing effective frameworks for managing compliance with these requirements.
- Extensive experience in successfully engaging, influencing, negotiating and collaborating with a range of business stakeholders to achieve outcomes in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
