As the Waste Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of waste management services that support the social, economic, and environmental objectives of Central Coast Council.
You will keep up to date with developments in the waste management industry and investigate enquiries from internal and external stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and generate revenue.
Your role will contribute to achieving Council's overarching vision and purpose for waste management and resource recovery on the Central Coast, provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Council will also be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other vacancies.
**Key activities of this role include**:
- Effectively undertake management of the procurement and delivery of works or services
- Undertake tonnage and financial reconciliations and prepare payment certificates and Section 88 Levy Returns relating to Councils waste management facilities in accord with legislative requirements
- Collect, analyse interpret and present statistical information associated with the operation of Councils waste facilities for both internal use and to meet legislative responsibilities
- Develop promotional and marketing materials for the Waste Management Facilities and schedule/conduct inspections and tours

- You may bring knoweldge and experience in the waste management industry
- You will understand contract and project management principles
- You will be capable of collecitng, analysising, interpretating and presenting statistical information

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $79.3k to $95.2k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.
A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $165 per week ($8,580 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.
A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
