Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking reliable and dedicated **Waste Handler/Drivers'** for casual positions. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe collection, transport, and disposal of various waste streams across the facility.

As a Waste Handler/Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting different waste streams, including general waste, recyclables, clinical waste, and soiled linen, from disposal rooms to designated collection points. You will also ensure that waste areas, vehicles, and equipment are clean and well-maintained, operating waste vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. Your work will contribute to the overall cleanliness and functionality of the hospital, helping to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

**About You**
- You have previous relevant experience in waste handling or related areas such as environmental services.
- You have a strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles, including safe manual handling and infection control procedures.
- You hold an Australian Heavy Rigid Drivers' Licence, with the ability to operate waste vehicles safely and responsibly.
- You have effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with team members.

**Where You’ll Be Working**

You will be working across facilities within the **Central Coast Local Health District**, supporting healthcare operations by efficiently managing waste disposal services. This role will involve frequent coordination with various departments, including CSSD (Central Sterilising Services Department), and handling medical gases and equipment. You will be a key player in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and safety required in a healthcare setting.
