**Assistant Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst**

**About the role**

Join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as an Assistant FP&A Analyst, where you'll provide essential support to the Senior FP&A Analyst in areas such as quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, five-year plans, cost allocations and reporting. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has recently completed their Bachelor's degree or is close to finishing their undergraduate studies.

To succeed, you'll need a keen eye for detail, a strong desire to learn, excellent communication skills, and intermediate Excel proficiency.

As part of a dynamic FP&A team within the broader finance department, you'll gain exposure to various financial functions, enjoy a supportive work environment, and benefit from ongoing training and development.

**Ways of working**

This position can be situated at either our headquarters on the Sunshine Coast or in our Fortitude Valley office.

We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday on location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

If you are located in Brisbane, you will need to travel to HQ once a week.

**Key priorities**
- Support data uploads and maintenance for the cost allocation model in Anaplan.
- Validate cost allocation results for accuracy and alignment with expectations.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget, five-year plan, and forecasts, including updating drivers, reports, and conducting analysis.
- Help export and upload budget/forecast data into D365.
- Update capital inputs and reporting for budgets and forecasts.
- Contribute to capital and solvency risk management through stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Maintain the Anaplan data hub model, ensuring data integrity and resolving errors.
- Assist with project deliverables, testing, and development of new business requirements.
- Analyse KPIs to identify trends and support board presentations on financial performance.
- Liaise with auditors as needed and assist with ad-hoc tasks.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and accounting standards.

**About you**
- A relevant business degree or in the final stages of completing one.
- Basic understanding of accounting standards.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (beginner to intermediate level).
- Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in all tasks.
- Willingness and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying and addressing risks and opportunities.
- Eagerness to continue learning and maintain necessary qualifications and memberships.
