Professional (+) (Fixed Term) opportunity in the Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology department, College of Veterinary Medicine, Washington State University, Pullman, WA.OverviewThe Brayton lab is seeking a laboratory assistant to aid in the execution of laboratory research and management of lab resources.
The lab works on genomics, cell biology, diagnostics and vaccine development for Anaplasma spp.
Work will include but is not limited to: DNA isolation, cloning and sequencing (including traditional Sanger sequencing and high throughput genomic sequencing), quantitative PCR, protein isolation and detection, RNAseq, and assistance with animal work (Gene gun immunization).

Carry out routine laboratory maintenance and ordering of supplies.Required QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or a closely related field, and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
