About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Research Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role in scientific testing and analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, including specimen dissection
  • Routine procedures from point of specimen reception to execution of results for pathological diagnosis
  • Assisting with stock control and maintaining records in line with protocols
  • Maintaining current scientific knowledge and participating in routine and audit-related Quality Assurance activities

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Science) or other equivalent AIMS-accredited degree
  • Demonstrated experience and skills within the discipline, with sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting
  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision and identify, develop, and implement quality and service improvement activities
