**About the Role**

Ventia are seeking an Environment and Sustainability Manager who will provide technical environmental expertise and oversee the environmental strategy and outcomes for Ventia's Infrastructure Services portfolio of contracts.

Reporting to the GM of SHEQ, this position will work with stakeholders (both internally and client side) across multiple business streams including water, electricity and gas, ICD, resources, environmental services, and infrastructure operations, spanning Australia and New Zealand.

As the primary support contact for all environmental matters, the Environment and Sustainability Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Developing, and monitoring the environmental strategy for the Infrastructure Services group
- Identify and appropriately rectify issues and move toward improving continual outcomes
- Coordination of Sustainability matters
- Providing support our operations in managing environmental risks and compliance obligations
- Providing environmental audit and incident management support
- Provide input into bids and tenders on environmental related matters
- Manage internal and external environmental reporting requirements

This role is based in Ventia's office in West End, Brisbane (or can be based out of any of our Head Offices in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth). Travel on a regular basis will be a requirement of this role.

**Position Requirements**
- Relevant and extensive environmental management experience
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or engineering
- Environmental Lead Auditor qualifications
- Ability to commit to significant travel as required
- Competency in working with an Environmental Management System
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environments with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Australian work rights
