**About Your Role**
Lithgow small arms facility manages defence weaponry refurbishment programs as well as supporting weapon design and development projects for the Australian Defence Force.
The skills and experience that we have at Lithgow are a vital resource and we are developing our business into a world leader in design and manufacturing for both the civilian and military environments.
- Conduct day-to-day operations of the Metrology Lab
- Execute test work according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Conduct First Article Inspection of production samples and Incoming Goods acceptance
- Manage and maintain the Gauge Recall system
- Ensure calibration of measuring equipment used in Metrology and Operations
- Organize and manage external calibration contractors
- Maintain metrology records, such as measurement records, inspection reports, and IPESA
- Support technical investigations, root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities
**How About You?**
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Strong knowledge within a manufacturing environment (metal)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of Defence products and/or Metrology Lab experience would be highly advantageous
**Good to Know**
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
Prior to offer you'll complete a pre-employment police and medical.
