Precision Measurement Technician

Accurate measurements are crucial for the development of defence systems. Our team is looking for a skilled Metrology Specialist to conduct day-to-day operations of our Metrology Lab.

We have a wide range of responsibilities in this role, including:

  • Executing test work according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conducting First Article Inspection of production samples and Incoming Goods acceptance
  • Managing and maintaining the Gauge Recall system
  • Ensuring calibration of measuring equipment used in Metrology and Operations
  • Organizing and managing external calibration contractors
  • Maintaining metrology records, such as measurement records, inspection reports, and IPESA
  • Supporting technical investigations, root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities

This role requires strong knowledge within a manufacturing environment (metal) and strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Previous experience within a similar role is highly advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise in metrology and have a solid understanding of Defence products. They will also be eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.
