The Quality Technician Role

This position plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional quality and reliability standards are met within the Manufacturing, R&D, and logistics teams.

  • Work closely with the Manufacturing, R&D, and Logistics teams to deliver best quality metrology in line with Cochlear Quality standards.
  • Operate manual and electric precision measuring instruments.
  • Report and document in line with Cochlear Quality Management System.
  • Calibrate and maintain new and existing measuring equipment.
  • Identify and procure new measuring equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and other key members of the team.
About You

To excel in this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in measurement, preferably with small complex shape device components.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Good understanding of calibration principles.
  • Experience in operating programmable measurement equipment.
  • Experience working in a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SmartScope, Video Measuring Microscope etc. would be an advantage.
