Job Summary

A Quality Technician position is available in a dynamic environment where you will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional quality and reliability standards are met.

About the Role

This is a specialist role requiring technical expertise to deliver best-in-class metrology services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet Cochlear's quality standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and Logistics teams to ensure excellent quality standards.
  • Operate precision measuring instruments including manual and electric devices.
  • Document findings accurately using the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain and calibrate new and existing measuring equipment.
  • Source new measuring equipment as required.
  • Closely work with engineers and key team members.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in measurement with complex shape components.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with calibration principles.
  • Experience operating programmable measurement equipment.
  • Background in a regulated engineering or manufacturing setting.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with SmartScope or Video Measuring Microscope is an advantage.
