**Role Scope and Purpose**
Firearms Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring Thales Australia Lithgow comply with relevant firearms laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. They work to prevent illegal firearms possession, trafficking, and misuse, and promote public safety.
**Required Experience and Skills**
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation related to firearms licensing, permits, and compliance activities.
- Conduct firearms compliance inspections and audits
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on compliance inspections, investigations, and audits.
- Prior experience in law enforcement, regulatory compliance, or a similar role is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of firearms legislation, regulations, and licensing requirements in NSW
- Familiarity with firearm types, accessories, and safe handling practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using computer systems and databases for record-keeping and data analysis
