Leading Australian Energy Retailer
- Senior role - working directly with the Compliance manager
- Competitive Salary - Between $120,000 and $140,000

The individual will work closely with the Compliance Manager in compliance activities relating to the client's Compliance Management Framework development that addresses all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, focusing on energy-specific laws and regulations and Australian privacy requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to ensure our compliance obligations are current, risk assessed, owned, and reflected in our business processes.
- Assess compliance issues against regulatory obligations and provide business compliance gap analysis; recommend and deliver compliance improvement projects to enhance quality assurance and compliance processes.
- Develop and deliver compliance training and instructional documentation to ensure internal and external stakeholders understand their compliance obligations and how they relate to their day-to-day activities.
- Create and maintain records and reports of compliance issues, including comprehensive investigation reports.
- Provide risk and compliance reporting against business KPIs.
- Formal qualifications in Risk and/or Compliance Management.
- Relevant experience at an Advisor/Officer level in a similar or related business unit role.
- Proven experience as a Compliance and/or Risk Advisor/Officer and substantial compliance and risk management knowledge.
- Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures for the energy industry.
