The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director Community Services, the Senior Manager Commercial Operations + Property is a key member of Council's Senior Leadership Team. You will drive excellence, inspire creativity, and ensure the division's success in delivering a return to Council to re-invest in other services across the LGA.
This large and complex division comprises 105 employees across 10 sites, with diverse skills ranging from hands-on roles at Tourist Parks and Cemeteries to office-based roles in customer service, property management, and statutory property roles.
Memorial, burial, and funeral services at six sites
Beachside accommodation at three tourist parks
Commercial leasing and licensing
Statutory property management
Property development
Salary
Circa $250,000 per annum with options for a motor vehicle allowance or lease. Salary will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements
A relevant degree and senior experience in commercial operations and property management
Strong strategic and operational capabilities
Experience leading transformational programs and cultural change
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
A commitment to safety, governance, and values-based leadership
