The Homelessness Melbourne Metro region is a large Homelessness provider in the inner city of Melbourne and provides a comprehensive range of residential & community services across six sites in St Kilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, West Melbourne and Kensington.

Community programs include the Crisis Contact Centre, Community Outreach Services for single adults, support for older people in public housing, rough sleeper & street sleeping initiatives, community participation and AOD support.

Residential services operate from Foley House in Footscray, the Open Door in North Melbourne and Flagstaff in West Melbourne.

The Open-Door Residential Services provides support to 37 single men experiencing homelessness with a history of trauma, disadvantage, mental health and chronic health issues in North Melbourne. The aim of the Homelessness Residential Services is to maximise each client's independence through person-centred and capacity building approaches to service delivery. The program's focus is to assist vulnerable and or at-risk residents to maintain good health, improve well-being and develop capability on a pathway towards reaching their personal potential.

The Open-Door Residential Service Coordinator is part of a trans-disciplinary team that works closely with:

- Residential Community Support Services across two sites
- Case Management Services
- Health Services including Bolton Clarke
- Community Engagement Team

You will successfully
- Lead cultural and programmatic change
- Be passionate about social justice and ending homelessness
- Be experienced in high-quality service delivery and creating high functioning teams
- Ensure Trauma informed, strengths based,and person-centred practice principles underpin practice
- Promote a culture where all The Open-Door Community Support staff, foster and focus on opportunities for innovative and flexible responses to identified resident goals and contribute to the creation of a trans-disciplinary model of care
- Ensure residents are provided with access to a range of holistic supports including tailored brief interventions, capacity building activities and advocacyservices
- Work towards the creation of a culturally safe residential environment, where services are accessible and inclusive to diverse community needs, including Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQ and CALD
- Coordinate the Open-Door Housing Establishment Fund requests and ensure that service provision meets TSA policy & DFFS funding and service agreements
- Ensure service delivery outcomes are analysed, monitored and evaluated against agreed aims, objectives, standards and the Model of Care
- Service models, standards of practice and service performance targets are documented and clearly articulated to staff

This is a permanent full-time position based in North Melbourne, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SACS VIC Lvl 7 - Social Wkr CIII.

What you have
- Degree qualification in social work, social science, psychology, or related field
- Extensive relevant experience in the social service sector including management and supervision of staff
- Ability to coach, supervise and manage change
- Resilience, flexibility and adaptability
- Creative outcome-focused attitude
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Advanced communication, written & organisational skills
- Ability to ensure service delivery outcomes meet the required target
- Strong AOD practitioner experience
- Ability to manage crisis situations
- Initiative to solve service delivery challenges
- Willingness to participate in On-Call Roster
