Canterbury Medical Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic person as Medical Receptionist to join our team, in a well reputed Medical Practice (close to Canterbury station).

Previous Receptionist experience in a General Practice is desirable for this position.

This position is Temporary at the beginning and will be Permanent (Part - Time) after three months.

The ability to work extra hours to cover sick and annual leave will be a distinct advantage.

**Responsibilities**
- General Reception Duties
- Greet patients, answer telephone calls liaising with patients and reply to their enquires, provide accurate message, record appointments, record accurate messages and invoice/ receipt patients
- It will be necessary liaising with various medical professionals and organizations on a daily basis
- Document Photocopying & Scanning and providing assistance to Doctors and Nurses
- Excellent communication skill, working individually and as a Team is always mandatory for this role

**Essential Criteria**
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident
- Working experience in General Medical Practice - Clear idea on Medicare and claiming
- Skill to prioritize, perform and remain calm under busy practice environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good computer and typing skills
- Strong focus on patients' satisfaction on their attendance and telephone conversation
- Previous experience with Best Practice, Medicare Online, Tyro and HotDoc would be advantageous

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
