**Role overview**

Icare is looking for a strategic, values-driven leader to join their Finance team as General Manager, Financial Performance and Analysis. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role plays a critical part in shaping icare's commercial strategy and ensuring the financial sustainability of schemes that support millions of Australians.

**Key Responsibilities**

As the **General Manager, Financial Performance and Analysis**, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for:

- Providing clear, strategic financial insights to the CEO, CFO, and executive team.
- Driving the planning and budgeting process aligned to icare's strategic goals.
- Managing a strong analytical capability that delivers actionable insights to improve customer and scheme outcomes.
- Producing icare's enterprise-wide Business Plan and Statement of Business Intent.
- Leading icare's quarterly performance reviews and reporting to NSW Treasury and other stakeholders.
- Embedding a culture of commercial discipline and continuous improvement across icare's finance function.
- Monthly management reporting.
- Ensuring strong financial project governance.
- Contributing to statutory reporting requirements in partnership with relevant teams.

**Qualifications**

You are an experienced finance leader with deep analytical capability and commercial acumen with:

- Appropriate accounting (CA/CPA/CIMA) or actuarial qualifications.
- Significant experience leading financial performance and planning functions, ideally within the insurance / healthcare sector.
- A proven ability to influence and engage executive and government stakeholders.
- Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Experience using a balanced scorecard approach to performance management.
- Passion for public purpose, and a commitment to improving the lives of people across NSW.
