About the role

The Cybersecurity Lead will be responsible for the overall security posture of (MTO), including developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. This role is critical for protecting MTO's digital assets, customer data, and brand reputation.

The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing clear security controls, educating employees and leadership, and ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of cybersecurity risks.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity strategy & policy
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats, as well as developing plans to mitigate them
  • Establish and lead the incident response plan
  • Educate and drive compliance including creating and delivering a program of regular training and awareness
  • Provide briefings to senior leadership and the board on the company's cybersecurity posture, emerging threats, and the effectiveness of current controls.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage cybersecurity tools and to protect the company's network and data.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of industry security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and managing incident response.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
