Why this role exists

Cliffside is growing quickly and we need a senior leader to own security consulting delivery across Australia. You'll run portfolio P&L, uplift utilisation and margins, mature our delivery methodology, and lead PMO and Practice Leads to consistently deliver measurable client outcomes.

What you'll do

Own the business: Full P&L for security consulting (forecasting, revenue recognition, GM%, pricing discipline, write-offs/WIP).

Scale delivery: Build and lead Consulting Managers/Principals, Practice Leads (Cloud Sec, GRC, AppSec, etc.) and PMO; hire, coach, succession plan.

Operational excellence: Define and enforce methodology, QA/stage gates, RAID/change control, standard SOWs/MSAs and delivery playbooks.

Portfolio governance: Run weekly delivery reviews, health/margin dashboards, corrective actions, and executive escalations.

Capacity & utilisation: Workforce planning, bench management, subcontractor strategy, certification pathways, and skills matrix.

Sales partnership: Shape solutions, scope/pricing, deal reviews and handover; support pursuits and executive presentations.

Client leadership: Act as executive sponsor on strategic accounts; drive renewals, expansion, and referenceability.

Risk & compliance: Align delivery with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and ASD Essential Eight; ensure secure-by-default practices and audit readiness.

Partner ecosystem: Manage alliances with cloud/security vendors; package repeatable offerings and accelerators.

Continuous improvement: Instrument KPIs, run post-engagement reviews, and translate insights into training and process updates.

What success looks like (KPIs)

Delivery: ≥95% on-time/on-scope; rework ≤3%; declining quality escapes.

Commercials: Gross margin on target; revenue forecast accuracy within ±5%; write-offs
