We are a large-scale food manufacturing company specialising in fresh-cut vegetable processing and value-added production. Our facility operates with industrial-grade machinery, advanced automated production lines, and strict food safety systems (SQF, HACCP). We process and supply tonnes of fresh raw vegetables daily into ready-to-cook manufactured products, supplying national foodservice clients, wholesale distributors, and mass scale production kitchens.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager (Manufacturing) to lead and manage our high-volume food manufacturing operations. Reporting to higher management, you will be responsible for managing large-scale production lines, staff, resources, and compliance to deliver consistent, safe, and cost-effective manufactured food products at an industrial level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and control food manufacturing processes for bulk vegetable production.
  • Manage industrial production lines including peeling, dicing, slicing, shredding, vacuum-packing, and dispatch.
  • Lead, supervise, and roster a multi-disciplinary production team (machine operators, supervisors, warehouse staff).
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (OEE, yield, throughput, downtime, cost control).
  • Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation across all production lines.
  • Ensure strict compliance with manufacturing food safety standards (SQF, HACCP, NSW Food Authority P1).
  • Liaise with suppliers, logistics, and national B2B food manufacturing clients.
  • Oversee inventory, cost efficiency, and large-scale resource allocation.
  • Deliver weekly production performance reports to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management / Food Manufacturing / Production Management (or related).
  • 3–5 years of proven experience ii n a manufacturing management role within food or related industries.
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage large teams in a factory environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial food manufacturing machinery and bulk processing systems.
  • Proven expertise in food safety compliance and large-scale production quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
