Financial Controller

This full-time, office-based role will see you managing all financial, accounting, and reporting functions of the business while working closely with the Managing Director and Board.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of all financial, accounting, and administrative functions for AHC Limited.

This is a standalone role that suits a highly capable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working independently to manage the end-to-end finance operations of the company.

In this role, you will report directly to the Managing Director and liaise with the Board. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, driving process improvement, and providing valuable insights that support the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, debtors, creditors, and payroll.
• Develop, implement and monitor budgets, forecasts, cashflows, and feasibility models.
• Prepare monthly management reports and audited financial statements.
• Coordinate the half-year and full-year audit process with external auditors.
• Prepare audited half-year and full year financial reports released to company shareholders and external stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with ASIC and QBCC reporting standards.

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls, financial systems, and governance frameworks.

• Manage relationships with insurers, IT consultants, financiers, auditors, and service providers.
• Administer commercial property assets including tenant invoicing, lease documentation, and outgoings reporting.
• Maintain financial systems and IT security (Wage Easy, Microsoft Suite, Xero).
• Support the Managing Director with ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
• Compile and maintain audit and tax work papers/electronic models/templates for specific audit and tax accounting requirements
• Answering of telephones and serving customers that make in-person enquiries at Head Office

About You

• CPA or CA qualified (preferred)
• Extensive accounting and finance experience in a large proprietary or public company environment
• Professional presentation and attitude

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and liaise confidently with senior stakeholders
• Strong systems knowledge, including with Xero, Wage Easy, and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities
