VDI Australia Group of companies have been the sole national distributor for Yutong buses since 2018, specialising in retailing Yutong buses, luxury coaches and their parts to a wide range of businesses and industries across Australia. We are an Australian owned, and family operated company with branches now located in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Cairns. Having experienced tremendous growth over the past few years, it is time for the right person to join us at this exciting phase of our organisation's growth and further enhance our spare parts operations across QLD.

This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. You will collaborate across departments to deliver accurate financial insights, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement in financial performance and systems.

Key Accountabilities-

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards
  • Provide strategic financial advice for projects
  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and reporting tools
  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts
  • Preparation of GST returns

Skills and experience-

  • Accounting Degree (Preferred) or demonstrated experience in similar finance roles
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior finance or accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems; Pentana DMS experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Operational knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and strong financial controls
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service focus
  • Hands-on leadership style with a drive for results
