St Vincent's Health Australia is the nation's largest Catholic not-for-profit provider of healthcare and aged care services, employing over 30,000 staff and with a proud heritage spanning over 175 years. We are guided by our mission to deliver compassionate and excellent care, underpinned by our commitment to Better and Fairer Care. Always. Our services span aged care homes, hospitals, virtual and in home care across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.

In February last year, we took a bold step by establishing and centralising our first national Talent Acquisition team, unifying recruitment across our diverse sites and building a culture our team is proud of. Due to internal career progression, we are ready to take the next leap forward.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join us as Head of Talent initially on an 18-month contract to drive this exciting next phase of our talent journey. Based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane and working within a flexible hybrid model, you will lead a passionate national Talent team committed to collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. You will nurture the positive team culture while driving strategic talent sourcing and partnering opportunities whist continuing to drive process improvement and delivering on high quality, best practice talent acquisition services.

Reporting directly to the National Director People and Talent Services, you will be central to delivering on our One St Vincent's approach and strategy, fostering connection and cooperation across states and teams to build upon our unified, agile and impactful talent function.

At St Vincent's, compassion, connection and care are at the heart of all we do. We seek someone who not only brings extensive leadership experience in large, centralised Talent models but also embodies our values and mission. We want an authentic leader who is ready to be actively involved by working collaboratively with our many internal stakeholders and identifying future opportunities to address the future of health sector workforce challenges.

Experience We're Looking For:

  • Proven leadership managing national or multi-state talent acquisition teams within a large complex service industry
  • Expertise in strategic, recruitment-focused workforce planning, sourcing and high-volume recruitment
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with recruitment technologies, including automation and strategic sourcing
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, including leadership of Indigenous recruitment initiatives aligned with our Reconciliation Action Plan
  • Experience collaborating with executive and senior leaders to embed sourcing strategies that align with organisational values and mission
  • A track record delivering measurable impact through innovation and people leadership

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the continued centralisation and optimisation of recruitment functions across multiple states. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders to shape recruitment driven workforce planning, embed diversity and inclusion strategies, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and impact. Your leadership will be instrumental in attracting and retaining exceptional talent who share our vision of Better and Fairer Care, Always.

Why Work With St Vincent's?

Joining St Vincent's means becoming part of a rich legacy of compassionate healthcare and aged care services. We offer competitive salary packaging, flexible working arrangements and a culture that actively supports wellbeing, professional growth and shared purpose. You'll work alongside like-minded colleagues in an environment that values diversity, inclusion and meaningful impact, an organisation where your leadership truly makes a difference to the people and communities we serve.

If you are ready to lead with integrity, innovate with purpose and elevate talent acquisition to new heights within a values-driven organisation, we welcome your application.

Respectfully, no agencies please.
