People and Culture Coordinator
Work with us and help create seamless, people-first experiences.
At Brisbane Racing Club, we believe exceptional experiences start with the people behind the scenes. As Queensland's premier racing and events destination, our culture is built on teamwork, respect, and a shared commitment to doing things well. We're now looking for a capable and organised
People & Culture Coordinator
to join our small, supportive team.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR journey who enjoys variety, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a busy, hands-on environment. You'll be supporting the smooth running of day-to-day People & Culture operations and playing an important role in ensuring our team members feel supported and informed throughout their time with us.
The Role:
In this coordinator role, you'll assist with core HR administrative activities—recruitment admin, onboarding, compliance, system updates, and general team support. Working across the full employee lifecycle, you'll help ensure our HR processes are consistent, compliant, and delivered with care.
You'll also be updating our HRIS and internal systems, so familiarity with digital platforms and a proactive, process-driven approach will set you up for success.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting recruitment processes (posting jobs, scheduling interviews, reference checks)
- Preparing onboarding documentation and assisting with new starter coordination
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Updating HRIS and other systems across the employee lifecycle
- Assisting with offboarding processes and exit documentation
- Responding to general HR queries and escalating where needed
- Helping with team engagement activities, events, and ongoing improvements
About You:
You'll bring
1–2 years of experience
in an HR, recruitment, or administration support role, along with great organisational skills and attention to detail. You enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly and are confident using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other business tools.
With a qualification in HR, Business Administration or a related field (or working towards one), you're eager to grow and contribute in a practical, team-focused role.
Why join us?
At BRC, we offer more than just race days. You'll enjoy:
- A welcoming, down-to-earth team culture
- Discounted access to events, hospitality and race days
- Free onsite parking and staff wellness initiatives
- Opportunities to learn and grow within the People & Culture function
This is a great role for someone looking to build their HR career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. If you're an organised, reliable team player who enjoys variety and helping others – we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now and help us keep our people experience running smoothly at BRC.
