Introduction:
The Heart of the Role
The Salesforce Developer plays a key role in shaping the digital transformation of The Scots College — building innovative, scalable, and secure Salesforce solutions that support learning, leadership, and service.
As a member of the ICT team, you will design and deliver applications that enhance business efficiency and user experience across the College community. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into seamless, intelligent systems that connect people, data, and purpose.
This full-time role, based at Bellevue Hill, offers an opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to a world-class educational environment, supporting the College's commitment to excellence, innovation, and Christian service.
Who are you?
You are a talented and collaborative Salesforce Developer who is passionate about creating elegant, reliable, and user-focused digital solutions.
You hold a Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Developer II or additional Salesforce certifications are highly regarded).
You bring at least two years of hands-on experience developing Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
You have strong technical expertise in Flows, Process Builder, validation rules, and integration with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs or MuleSoft.
You are comfortable working within an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprints, code reviews, and continuous improvement practices.
You communicate clearly, work collaboratively across departments, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
You bring a proactive mindset, staying current with Salesforce updates and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
You bring an authentic Christian faith that shapes your approach to work, relationships, and service.
Where do you fit in?
You are energised by the opportunity to serve within a Christian, Presbyterian GPS school that values excellence, integrity, and innovation.
You thrive in a collaborative, high-performing ICT environment where technology empowers teaching, learning, and community.
You are motivated by purpose — developing systems that simplify processes, connect people, and support the College's mission to inspire boys to learn, lead, and serve.
You see your role as both developer and problem-solver — turning ideas into elegant, effective digital solutions that make a real difference.
How do you serve others?
You design, develop, and deploy custom Salesforce applications and components using Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
You build and maintain automation solutions that streamline business workflows and enhance user experience.
You integrate Salesforce with internal and external systems using APIs and middleware tools.
You maintain a strong focus on data security, system reliability, and adherence to compliance standards.
You contribute to team learning through code reviews, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
You work closely with project managers, business analysts, and end users to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
What do we offer?
An opportunity to be part of a team committed to nurturing fine young men of faith, character, and purpose — supported by innovative technology solutions.
A dynamic and supportive environment where digital transformation and Christian service go hand in hand.
Professional growth opportunities, including support for Salesforce certifications and technical development.
Access to a range of staff benefits, including:
Free barista coffee and lunches
Employee Assistance Program
Access to The Scots College transport system
Medical services and on-campus gym
Salary packaging options
The Scots College reserves the right not to proceed with any appointment.
