About the Role

The Australasian Hair and Wool Research Society and Sinclair Dermatology/DIRECT is seeking a Clinical Data Coordinator (CDC) to manage and maintain a global research registry for alopecia areata. The CDC will work closely with local and international Project Managers and Committee members to plays a key role in managing and maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and security of data collected for the global registry and support expansion into other countries. The CDC will also be providing support to clinical researchers within Sinclair Dermatology/DIRECT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing data management tasks including auditing of patient records, quality assurance including data cleaning and validation and analysis of registry data
  • Training contributing clinicians and wider study team members on the use of the registry platform
  • Respond to data-related queries from stakeholders including Committee members, clinicians, researchers and management and liaising with collaborators
  • Production of updates, presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the GRASS platform and related databases Contribution to budget management for the project and funding applications as required
  • Preparing data for analysis by researchers to support research projects, including data entry, validation and site file maintenance as required

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in a health sciences/data science field
  • Proven experience with analysing large datasets using R, Python programming languages
  • Experience with clinical research databases (e.g. RedCAP) and knowledge of research software commonly used in qualitative and quantitative analysis, including Electronic Data Capture (EDC).
  • Experience with clinical research data management, including collection, analysis, validation and monitoring as well as data presentations
  • Highly developed organisation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively as a team and independently to achieve project outcomes
  • Ability to work with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
