Tool Repair Technician
Location: Rydalmere, NSW
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible Hours Available)

We're looking for an experienced Repair Technician to join our workshop team at Toolfix Rydalmere.
About the Role
As a Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for assessing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of power tools and equipment. You'll also provide customers with clear, detailed quotations for repairs, ensuring transparency and excellent service. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Book tools into workshop system for assessment and repair
- Conduct thorough assessments of faulty tools and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive quotations for customers
- Perform repairs using appropriate tools, techniques, and safety standards
- Test and verify functionality post-repair
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding repair status and recommendations
- Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness is maintained at all times
What We're Looking For
Previous experience servicing and repairing equipment in one or more of the following industries:
Power Tools
- Automotive
- White Goods
- Small Engines (e.g. generators, lawn mowers)
- Industrial Equipment
- Construction Equipment
- Electrical Appliances
- HVAC systems
- Marine Equipment
- Agricultural Machinery
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Forklift licence or electrical testing certification (desirable but not essential)
- Computer proficiency preferred – there is a small amount of computer work required for this role, which includes generating repair quotations in MYOB Exo and emailing quotations to customers using Outlook
