Utilise your research impact knowledge and skills to support CDU faculty in tracking and promoting research impact at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position

As a Research Impact Officer, you will help progress the University's Research Impact Strategic Plan which includes three main aims:

  • Developing researcher capability in understanding ways to maximise research impact
  • Improving process and systems for collecting and tracking research impact, and
  • Articulating and rewarding research impact by developing research impact case studies and narratives for diverse audiences and across multiple platforms

You will identify, develop and facilitate activities to build capacity across the university in planning, tracking, monitoring, evaluating and showcasing CDU's research engagement and societal impact including helping researchers draft and finalise case studies.

About You

To be successful, you will require:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training, involving skills in research impact evaluation, project administration, stakeholder engagement, training development and facilitation.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing for general audiences (e.g., public relations, journalism, marketing).
  • Experience supporting researchers in tracking impact and/or preparing research impact case studies.
  • Experience developing interactive and online learning opportunities and outreach services.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain internal process documentation.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise informed judgment and initiative.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing competing priorities.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 8. The base salary will be in the range of $104,888 to $118,578 per annum (pro rata). The total remuneration package will be in the range of $122,718 to $138,736 per annum (pro rata), including 17% superannuation.
