Locations: - Hybrid – 2 days/week in office (Chifley Tower, Sydney CBD or Bella Vista)


Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing, implementing, and managing both
Linux and Windows
server environments. This role requires a strong understanding of automation, configuration management, and modern DevOps practices to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Solid experience in the design and implementation of a Linux & Windows server image deployment and management (SOE).
  • Mandatory to have Terraform and puppet and powershell.
  • Solid experience in the build of server operating systems and relevant SOP creation.
  • Strong understanding of automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Terraform, PowerShell, vRealize, Automation,)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles.
  • Experience in cloud environments (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong understanding of server security hardening and vulnerability management
  • Experience with server validation and assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Standard Operating Environments (SOEs) for Linux and Windows servers.
  • Build and configure server operating systems, ensuring documentation and SOPs are created and maintained.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Puppet, Terraform, vRealize Automation, and PowerShell.
  • Apply CI/CD principles to streamline server deployment and configuration processes.
  • Implement and maintain server security hardening practices and manage vulnerability remediation.
  • Conduct server validation and assurance activities to ensure compliance with operational and security standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs and resolve technical issues.
