AEROHYDROTECH Design Intl. is an international multidisciplinary design and engineering practice providing consultancy in product lifecycle ecosystems with definition, design, development, and deployment of "smarter by designs" solutions to the Sporting, Marine, Transportation, Energy, Mobility, Defence and Aerospace industries since 2015.

Our expertise spans on mechanical, electronic, aerospace, naval, software, and hardware engineering. We offer customized services such as 4D dynamic CFD, FEA, FSI simulation driven design and engineering backed by analytical validation, sensor and instrumentation measurement data systems linked to custom programmable software, hardware, mechatronics, hydraulics, and mechanical control systems, we output in 3D animated / real time visualisation to virtual, mixed, and augmented reality, and provide custom interfacing software development, we prototype via 3D additive manufacturing techniques or machine for parts and production tooling, we operate a dedicated in-house composite workshop and outsource manufacturing for customers while providing project management.

Role Description

This is a 3 year contract role for a Senior Autonomous Systems Engineer. The role is based in Sydney, Australia or in Europe and requires a combination of on-site at our Australian or European studios or at a remote project site (hybrid role).

The Autonomous Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development, testing, and implementation of autonomous systems. This includes working on robotics, systems engineering, software and hardware development for autonomous vehicles, and assisting on the commissioning and procurement of components or the development of data science applications to control, monitor and analyse the prototyped devices and autonomous crafts usability and operability performance.

Day-to-day tasks will involve defining, designing, coding, testing, integrating hardware and software systems, prototyping components or complete crafts and analyzing usability and operability performance data.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles skills
  • Proficiency in Autonomous Systems Engineering
  • Experience in Software and Hardware Development
  • Data Science and Analytics capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving and team leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Masters or PhD degree in Engineering backed by solid computer science skills.
  • 10 years minimum professional experience in a similar role
  • Ability to live and work in Australia or Europe
