Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Location: Fairfield Dermatology Clinic

Job Type: Part-Time 3 days per week shift work including one late shift (may finish at 8.30pm)

Renumeration: $27-$34 per hour based on level of experience, reviewed annually.

Reports To: Office Manager and or Nurse Manager


Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organised person to join our dynamic reception team at Fairfield Dermatology. The role is perfect for someone who takes pride in representing a business with warmth, accuracy and care in a fast-paced environment. The reception team rotate hours and shifts and generally do one late shift per fortnight. If you are a good communicator, thrive in a team setting and take pride in delivering exceptional service, we would love to meet you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Schedule and confirm appointments on Genie Medical Software
  • Answer calls, taking messages and confirming/re-scheduling appointments
  • Maintain and update patient records and documentation
  • Prepare and process invoices through Medicare
  • Manage the reception area with nursing staff to ensure patient/clinic flow
  • Perform administrative tasks such as actioning email/fax requests, as well as filing, banking, letter preparation/mailing.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients
  • Maintain patient confidentiality

Required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available for a December start

Desirable:

  • Proficiency with Genie Medical Software Program
  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting
