About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Adelaide team and take ownership of the full AR function. From preparing and issuing invoices to reconciling payments, maintaining accurate records, and fostering positive client relationships, you'll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. You'll partner closely with Project Team Leaders and the Finance team to ensure timely, accurate reporting and support seamless project delivery.

What You'll Bring

  • 5 + years solid experience in accounts receivable
  • Strong knowledge of credit, collections, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance/CRM systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Clear, confident communication with a collaborative and adaptable mindset
  • Prepare and distribute invoices and statements for each billing cycle to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Accurately reconcile and allocate daily incoming payments to customer accounts, maintaining financial integrity.
  • Monitor aged receivables, initiate client communications, and manage reminders and escalation processes to reduce overdue accounts and financial risk.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to account queries, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with Project Team Leaders (PTLs) to support project-related financial documentation and ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies to support reliable financial reporting.
  • Complete year-end processes and assist with audits by providing accurate data and documentation.
  • Work closely with finance, administration, and project teams to ensure consistency and alignment across systems and processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes and enhance system efficiency.
