Social Media Marketing Intern

Social Media Marketing / Volunteer Responsibilities: (Unpaid)

Manages the company's social media accounts and posts content.

Brainstorms campaign ideas.

Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok

Analyses analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.

Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.

Engages with customers or clients and provides service and/or sales.

Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes.

Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.

Assists in creating performance reports.

Responsibilities for Marketing Volunteer:

Help distribute marketing materials

Help organize marketing events

Manage and update the company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)

Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web)

Prepare detailed promotional presentations

Help with the planning and hosting of marketing events

Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback

Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content

Responsibilities for Events Volunteer:

o Contact vendors as needed to move event logistics forward

o Work with committees and/or key volunteers to move crew tasks forward

o Attend planning committee meetings as needed

o Organise & purchase supplies for event as needed

o Help to establish logistics for the events as needed

Responsibilties for Public Relations / Media Volunteer:

• Good writing skills and an understanding of our sector
• Understanding of sustainability field (would be useful)
• Writing for SEO
• Articles to support our blog
• EDMs and Social Media
• Research and write up a script for a series of youtube / webisodes/ reels that will eventuate in a long form video .

Responsibilities for Video Editing and Multimedia Intern:

• Video editing and multimedia
• Creating relevant Footage

These are unpaid opportunities - with no allowances.

We will work with you around your current part-time jobs/ internships/ study etc and generally be 1 day per week in a voluntary capacity.

Students can also discuss projects that relate to "Work Experience" similar units that require a certain number of hours per semester with us whether you are studying in Australia or Externally.

Note: We insist you prioritise your part-time/ paid jobs, studies and other commitments (including family) before considering this voluntary opportunity.

We can manage interns from interstate and overseas, but you will need to be exceptionally committed to make the time difference and remote activity - so don't apply if this is you and you can't commit to carry out tasks from your location. We also welcome people in Perth - working from home but we expect to meet you a few times in person (if possible)
