Downer's Energy & Utilities business has a unique opportunity for local Team Members who are seeking permanent work to join our Gas Mains and Services crew in Derrimut, VIC. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality construction, fault response, and maintenance activities on gas mains and services throughout the gas distribution networks in the Adelaide area. Other duties may include:

  • Performing mains and services breakdowns, corrective maintenance and minor construction activities
  • Providing reliable emergency response services during regular and after-hours operations to ensure a swift and effective resolution of issues
  • Assist with ordering and installing materials and quarry products as required to complete the allocated works
  • Carry out emergency maintenance to ensure the safe and continued supply of the distribution system.

ABOUT YOU

  • Site Proficient: Pervious experience working within excavation, landscaping or outdoor work, with previous Gas, Civil or utilities experience
  • Technically Proficient: Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety.
  • Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card – within the last 3 years. MR, HR, MC or relevant Truck Licence (required). Gas Test Atmosphere or Gas Fitter qualifications (desired) Must be clean shaven. Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical.
