Who we are

Independent Living Disability Services provides a range of supports and services to people with disabilities.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced female Disability Support Worker that is experienced in complex care with paraplegic client and using a sideboard to transfer. Preferably Arabic due to language barrier.

Must be able to commit to the following shifts

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5pm to 9pm and weekend shifts when needed.

Please don't apply if you can't do short shifts.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Australian resident
  • Workers Screening Check, Working with Childrens and First Aid + CPR
  • Certificate in Disability or Individual Support
  • At least two years experience working in a similar role
  • Have a vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
  • Australian Licence
  • Must have experience with complex behaviours to provide a client-centric support capability

The ideal person will be friendly, fun, have lots of energy and engaging to build a therapeutic relationship to successfully assist our client with a range of disability-related support needs within the home and out in the community.
