The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our dedicated Finance Team. Reporting to the Commercial & Acquisitions Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the precinct's daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, banking and reconciliations, revenue verification, and month-end processes.
This is a hands-on, high-volume role that suits someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and contributing to a strong internal control environment. The position plays a key part in ensuring the financial integrity of multiple business units across the precinct.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily banking and reconcile all revenue streams across the precinct
- Process accounts payable including invoice matching, coding and supplier payments
- Prepare customer invoices and maintain debtor records
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Verify daily takings and support compliance with financial controls
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing in line with audit requirements
- Assist with month-end tasks including reporting, stocktake entries and reconciliations
- Provide timely support to internal stakeholders and suppliers
- General finance administration
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- Strong reconciliation skills and high attention to detail
- Experience with accounting or POS systems (Xero, Metropolis, SwiftPOS or similar)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Experience in hospitality, clubs or multi-entity environments (desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications (or currently underway) in accounting or finance.
