ONCALL is currently seeking a **Finance Officer** to join our team on a **6-month fixed term contract** basis. This role will see you combining Accounts Payable (AP) duties with general accounting support and will be ideal for someone with strong AP experience who is currently studying toward a professional accounting qualification and looking to transition into a broader career in finance.

**Your key duties will include**:

- Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Preparing payment runs in line with payment schedules
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Responding to AP-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with month-end processes, including journal entries and accruals
- Supporting bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
- Providing documentation and support for audits and reporting

**You will bring**:

- Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with financial systems and Excel
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Currently studying toward a relevant accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA)
- Exposure to general ledger or month-end processes
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, or similar)
