About us

Concept Evolution is a Sydney-based consultancy dedicated to providing exceptional design and manufacturing services to our clients. We operate across a wide range of industries and have worked with everyone from local startups to multinational corporations. We have an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Senior level Industrial Designer who shares our attention to detail and high standards to join our growing team.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years industry experience
  • Highly proficient in using Solidworks for 3D modelling, drafting, and rendering
  • Sound skills in Adobe Creative Suite applications (min. Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Sound skills in Microsoft Office applications (min. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Eager to learn with a willingness to listen and follow direction, but also the ability to supervise and give directions to others
  • Keen eye for detail and take pride in your work
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work schedule
  • Highly creative with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Show initiative and be pro-active
  • Good communication skills with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
  • Experience and ability to use hand tools is highly desirable

About the role

  • Full time, predominantly working from our Taren Point office, with occasional work onsite within Sydney and interstate
  • Work on all stages of project development, from initial concept generation, client presentations, 3D CAD modelling, drafting manufacturing drawings, prototyping and testing, to overseeing manufacturing, assembly and installation
  • Gain experience in a diverse range of industries, products, materials and processes
  • Full training and support provided in all aspects of your role
  • Work closely with our local and offshore supply chain
  • Get hands-on with our inhouse prototyping and manufacturing facility, and onsite installations
