We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible art & design showroom assistant for our showroom located in Caringbah. This is a casual position 2 - 4 days per week. Hours are 10am - 5pm.

We will be selling contemporary art and design pieces, along with mid-century and contemporary furniture.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting customers with information about art & design pieces on display in the gallery or on the website and pricing
  • Processing payments
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Managing incoming & outgoing deliveries, including packaging and labelling items going out
  • Booking couriers and removalists for out-going deliveries to customers
  • Assisting Kerrie-Ann and the team with re-styling of the gallery space each week
  • Informing customers about Kerrie-Ann's design and styling consultations
  • Answering email enquiries
  • Updating Shopify with new products or updating current product information
  • General tidying (wiping dust off surfaces, sweeping / vacuuming floor, keeping space tidy)
  • When the showroom is quiet, helping the marketing manager source imagery for social media posts
  • Shooting video and photo content on the gallery phone for the marketing manager to use for social media
  • Assisting Kerrie-Ann and the marketing manager with general tasks
  • Must be punctual & reliable

This position would suit someone who has a genuine passion for interiors, art and design. Ideally, previous experience in a similar role, in an art gallery or interiors retail role.
