About Us

Opening late October 2025, Hahndorf Brezelhaus is a brand-new café and bakery in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, just 25 minutes from Adelaide. Operated by the local team behind two successful venues in Hahndorf, we're bringing a fresh concept to life: handcrafted German pretzels, artisan breads, pastries, and an all-day menu featuring seasonal breakfasts and authentic German-inspired lunch offerings.

We're building a talented kitchen team from the ground up and are seeking passionate cooks who want to be part of something new and exciting.

About the Role

We are seeking Cooks with a passion for quality food and experience in breakfast service and/or European/German-style cooking.

As part of our opening team, you will:

  • Work closely with a tight-knit kitchen team to deliver a consistently high standard of food
  • Assist in executing our seasonal breakfast menu and German-inspired lunch dishes
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and daily specials
  • Support with training and mentoring junior staff as the team grows
  • Maintain stock rotation, kitchen organisation, and quality control
What We're Looking For

We're looking for individuals who are:

  • Experienced in breakfast, lunch, or European/German-style cuisine
  • Specifically experienced in German cuisine preparation and cooking techniques
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
  • Knowledgeable in food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
  • Required to hold current food safety certification before starting employment
  • Experienced with at least 2–3 years in the industry
  • Flexible to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
  • Creative, consistent, and passionate about producing great-tasting, well-presented dishes
  • Team players who can also take initiative and work independently
